Volunteers in Patrol

VIP Program
The Volunteers in Patrol (VIP) Program is a key part of keeping University Meadows safe.

Made up of trained neighbors, VIP teams up with the Dallas Police Department to keep an eye on the community, help deter crime, and ensure our neighborhood stays a great place to live.
How the Program Works
Collaborative Crime Prevention
A non-confrontational neighborhood program designed to reduce crime through cooperation between citizens and the D.P.D
Dedicated
Citizen Patrols
Citizens volunteer their time by patrolling their neighborhoods on foot or in their own vehicles.
Comprehensive Training
Volunteers receive 5 hours of training from D.P.D. on recognizing suspicious activity and reporting it effectively.
Community Involvement
This program empowers citizens to play an active role in crime prevention by serving as the eyes and ears for D.P.D.
